Tramlines adds Primal Scream and Kano as headliners for 2017
Influential Scottish rockers Primal Scream and grime forefather Kano have been announced as further headliners for this year's Tramlines festival.
Primal Scream, who picked up the first ever Mercury Music Prize in 1991 as part of a career that has spanned over 20 years, will top the bill on the festival's Ponderosa main stage on Saturday night, while Kano will head up Friday night on the revamped Devonshire Green stage in Sheffield city centre.
Other new names announced include disco edits wizard The Reflex, London four-piece The Big Moon and Sheffield rapper Matic Mouth, with a new stage dedicated to recipients of PRS' Momentum Music Fund hosting Champion, Mista Silva, Flamingods and Jerry Williams in the Devonshire Green arena.
The latest additions join The Libertines, Metronomy, All Saints, Toots & The Maytals, The Pharcyde and more at the ninth edition of the festival, which will take place across Ponderosa park, Devonshire Green and Endcliffe Park on the weekend of July 21st-23rd. Tickets are on-sale now through PFTP.
